Why was CO2 not included as adsorbates?

I was wondering why CO2 was not included in the list of supported adsorbate, considering that it plays a role in at least three of the reactions included in table 3 of the main article (methanation, CO2 reduction and water gas shift)

We tried selecting adsorbates that were important intermediates to a wide range of reactions, those including the ones you mentioned. CO2 was not included at the time as it is often quite stable. We anticipate many of the C1 adsorbates (*CO, *CHO, *COH, *CHOH, *CH2OH, etc.) to play important roles in informing CO2-related reactions. With that being said, however, we are certainly considering including CO2 in future calculations.
